This is it...

Well, it has finally come. My contract is signed, my visa is official in my passport, my bags are almost packed and now I have to spend my last night with my love. It's bittersweet I suppose, as I will see him soon when he joins me in Korea after I have settled down a bit but this first month is going to be tough. Not only will I be alone, in a country where I don't speak the language, I have to start working at a job I have never done and get settled in my tiny apartment on a very small budget. It's starting to get to me as my nerves calm down from all the planning and it is actually happening!

I am moving to Seoul TOMORROW and there is no looking back. Love or hate it, I am there and I have a real big kid job. I am scared and excited and anxious all in the same breath! I have no expectations, no reservations. I am starting fresh, with an open mind and heart, ready for whatever life can throw at me. So many months of talking and planning and thinking and it is actually here, I can hardly believe it. Whew, ready or not here I come South Korea! Life, as I know it, is forever changed.

To dare is to lose one's footing momentarily. To not dare is to lose oneself.

  1. Good luck! I left "home" over 4 years ago and I also never looked back. It was the best thing I did in my life. I ended up meeting my husband and now I'm fulfilling my dream of travelling around the world. I checked the places you are planning to go. You will have a great time! Let me know if you need any tips.
Ahh and in Europe, try to go to Portugal too...
